3D Printed Parts

This basic version of the SG-1 gate is static (no motorization) and much easier to build than the full version.

You can download the specific 3D models for this Milky Way gate directly or via MakerWorld:

Hardware Differences

The core circuit and the PCB are exactly the same as the Pegasus model. However, there are two main differences for this build:

  • LED Strips: This gate requires only two NeoPixel strips instead of three (no glyph ring). Cut them to 36 LEDs for the event horizon and ~44 LEDs for the chevron ring — trim any excess during assembly to fit your printed parts. Full breakdown on the BOM page.
  • Sound Effects: The microSD card requires the specific SG-1 sounds.

General Assembly

Since the circuit and the general logic remain identical, you can follow the exact same assembly steps as the Pegasus gate!

Just remember to select the SG-1 firmware instead of Atlantis when flashing your ESP32 at the end.
